Free Marketing Resources

We are all students (or should be), but that doesn't
mean we have to do things the hard way.  I've spent
hundreds of hours researching the best resources for the
do-it-yourself (DIY) marketer.

If you don't have the time or inclination to teach yourself,
drop me an email for a free initial consultation about your
heritage tourism marketing dilemma.  Or, call for an
appointment at 970-497-9041 (mountain time zone).

www.culturalheritagetourism.org
Required reading if you have a vested interest in any
heritage tourism community or business.  Special
sections on marketing same.

www.ducttapemarketing.com
This guy is seasoned and wise.  Straight-forward,
no-nonsense, and geared to the DIY business owner.
The best marketing site to start with if you are a
beginner.

www.yudkin.com
Marcia Yudkin: wise, frugal, offers lots of free advice.
Kind of like a Hints from Heloise for DIY marketers. This
site is also good for marketing beginners, and she offers
a free weekly newsletter that is top notch.

www.trendwatching.com
One of my favorite site of any kind.  Get yourself out of
that fishbowl you're in and see what the world is doing.
Superlative site about consumer trends.

www.marketingprofs.com
Lots of free articles and ability to access more for a fee.
Not for beginners, but worth it if you are spending some
serious time on your marketing communications, or if
you just like it too much, like I do.
